Enfield, CT – April 18, 2025 –
Educational Resources for Children, Inc. (ERfC) proudly celebrates 31 years of empowering children and supporting families across the Greater Enfield community. In honor of this milestone, ERfC will host its annual Toast of the Town celebration on April 26, 2025, at Nutmeg Restaurant & Banquet Hall in East Windsor.
Toast of the Town brings together community leaders, educators, families, and supporters to recognize the outstanding individuals and organizations whose commitment has helped shape ERfC’s impact over the past three decades.
"For over three decades, ERfC has served as a trusted pillar in the community, providing safe, enriching environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive beyond the school day," said Tracey E. Joseph, President of the Board of Directors. "Toast of the Town is our opportunity to celebrate that legacy—and the people who’ve helped make it possible."
This year’s inaugural award celebration will honor leaders in several categories:
Employee Recognition Award: Colleen A. Semanie
Award of Honors: Attorney John S. Gannon
Community Partnership Excellence Award: Gale Toyota
Children’s Voice Award: Darcy Morency
Academic Partner Award: Karen Sulaski
Trailblazer Awards: Former Enfield Mayor William “Bill” Vayda, Scott Kaupin, Mike Emmons, and Curtis Rodriguez Porter
Catalyst Awards: Carole Schloss, Sandra Jacobs
Community Pillar Award: Constance “Connie” Provencher
In 2024, ERfC served over 450 students, hosted numerous family engagement events, and launched initiatives focused on youth leadership and social-emotional development. Through strong partnerships with schools, government agencies, and community-based organizations, ERfC continues to expand access to quality out-of-school-time programs.
Toast of the Town is a moment to celebrate lives touched, milestones achieved, and the shared commitment to helping children thrive for generations to come.
ERfC extends heartfelt thanks to all event sponsors, especially our Excellence Level Sponsors: Gale Toyota, Open Choice Hartford Region Open Choice Program, and Fastest Labs of South Hartford for their exceptional support.
